THE END ! ! !
Eventhough this was an entirely luck based game, it’s still nice to win it off course.
Thanks for playing guys.
The game itself was a nice motivation to look every stage closer and more detailed. It was a way of getting more involved in this years .
It was supertight untill the final meter on Champs Elysees. Almost a fotofinish.
THE RESULT:
- Davyduck 165
- Garfield 163
- Ace 155
- Alpacino 146
- Teratcliffe 6
Another nice statistic:
guessed 4 times the winner right. 3 times. 2 times. And only 1 time. (Thanks MAL for swiping away that ugly zero! )
To compensate this bad guessing of mine I scored not less then 6 times 2nd place.
A little recap: This was how the race was won:
- In stage 2. It was obvious Alaphillipe would do anything to try to win the stage. But I went for Impey in some rebellious mood. So I started this game in last position, and way behind.
But Paris was still far ...
- Further on scoring went pretty much constant, using our Ewans, Bennetts, Pogacars and roglic’s, until stage 13, where pulled lucky number Dani Martinez. At that point I almost gave up to do the daily effort.
- Stage 15: I wanted to keep 1 Roglic for the last TT, but I was so far behind already that I had to play him in order to keep up a bit. Roglic lost again against Pogacar and I was 36pts behind. Not 1 time I guessed the winner. And no more Bennet, Ewan, Roglic or Pogacar to play anymore. Moral was low. Game over?
(spoiler: Seems like Pogi wasn’t the only one who kept best for last. ...)
- Stage 17. It was a blessing I couldn’t take the logical pogi or rogi card. So I took a lucky guess by taking Superman, who brought me my first win and the logical 25pts. Moral was rising ...
- Stage 19. I looked for a fast man who could be in the botd, or could take points in a bunch sprint: Picking Lucky number Mezgec for all sakes got me my 5th 2nd place.
I am still wondering how I came up with him???
- Stage 20. Dumoulin surprised me with my 6th second place. And the gap was suddenly only 2 measly points in Radioshacks favour.
- Stage 21: I watched the sprint just checking on 's WVA and my Kristoff. Woeh! So tight! Kristoff was sprinting side by side with Van Aert. But in the last meters Kristoff passed Viviani, and van Aert didn’t, wich gave me the 2 extra points in the ultimate 10 meters of Champs Elysees. Wow!
